Implementing the Essentials Licensing Pack in Clinical Practice


This in-person CPD licencing Governance Day is designed to support solo aesthetic practitioners in implementing the Essentials Licensing Pack within their clinic and preparing for upcoming regulatory licensing and inspection.


The session provides a structured walkthrough of the governance framework contained within the Essentials Licensing Pack, with a focus on translating documentation into practical clinical systems that can be implemented immediately in practice.


Participants will work through the key areas required for safe aesthetic practice, including consultation standards, medicines governance, infection prevention, documentation requirements and inspection readiness.


The implementation day is delivered in a small group format (maximum 10–15 practitioners) to allow discussion, practical examples and implementation guidance.


Learning Objectives

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

• Understand the aesthetics governance underpinning the Essentials Licensing Pack

• Implement the SOP structure within their own clinic environment

• Apply consultation, consent and documentation standards that meet regulatory expectations

• Demonstrate safe medicines governance including storage, traceability and lawful sourcing

• Implement infection prevention and environmental safety procedures within aesthetic practice

• Organise clinical documentation and governance evidence for licensing inspection

• Understand incident reporting, complaints management and safeguarding processes within aesthetic practice

• Establish a simple audit and CPD monitoring system within their clinic

• Overview of aesthetic licensing requirements and governance expectations

• Structured walkthrough of the 27 SOP governance framework

• Implementing consultation and consent systems in practice

• Medicines governance and injectable product traceability

• Infection prevention and clinical safety procedures

• Managing incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns

• Documentation systems and inspection readiness

• Implementing audit and CPD monitoring within a solo clinic

• Questions and discussion relating to licensing preparation


CPD

This workshop provides 6 hours of verifiable CPD relevant to aesthetic clinical governance and regulatory compliance.


Participants will receive a CPD certificate of attendance following completion of the workshop.
